Shamrock Cead Mile Failte Plaque
This traditional Gaelic greeting means “A Hundred Thousand Welcomes.” The 9” long plaque is made from wood, with the greeting and shamrocks in traditional pewter. “Céad Míle Fáilte” is inscribed in a traditional Irish Gaelic font. Decorative shamrocks in the centre are hand carved from pewter.
This saying comes from the Celts, who considered the welcome as a threshold or rite of passage. The Celts’ gracious nature is characterized in this warm and generous greeting.
This plaque is a must for any Irish home or office; it is also available with a Claddagh design.
