    Aran Mug

My son came to visit and loved my Aran Mug! So I just sent him one of his own. Beautiful mug, just the right size and weight.

Lovely but not as appeared in the ad

I love traditional Aran details and that was what mainly inspired me to purchase this mug. But when I received it, I was disappointed to see that the diamond-shaped pattern that appeared quite pronounced on the online image of the mug were so subtle as to be almost imperceptible on the actual piece. If you didn't know that Aran details were supposed to be part of the design, they likely would go unnoticed because they are so faint. I decided to keep the mug because its presence is still impressive; the colors, other embellishments, and workmanship are beautiful and obviously of quality. Still, the discrepancy between what I reasonably expected and what I got is unfortunate.
