For anyone looking to add some rural charm to their daily coffee or tea routine, these Galway Weave mugs are a perfect choice.
Belleek’s designers were inspired by traditional knit patterns and hand weaving designs found in the west of Ireland as early as the 17th century. Each historic pattern is unique and belonged to a specific clan with its own name.
Today, the Galway Weave Parian china mugs carry on that tradition while adding some of Ireland’s finest porcelain craftsmanship for a distinguished take on the detail.
Founded in 1849, Belleek is the oldest fine china pottery in Ireland and has been producing distinguished Parian porcelain since 1863. Located in County Fermanagh, Belleek was a favorite of Irish and British nobility, including Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Parian porcelain is renowned for its sculptural-like qualities that resemble the beautiful white marble found on the Greek island of Paros, after which the china gets its name.
