These Claddagh Bowls are a refined and personal gift for any wedding, anniversary, or special occasion.
A heart topped with a crown and encircled by two hands, the Claddagh symbolizes love, loyalty, and friendship. It was first designed by a Spanish goldsmith who fell in love with a woman from Claddagh, County Galway, and created the ring for her to represent his emotions. The image is embossed on the side of the fine porcelain bowls and stands out.
Above and below the Claddagh design, bands of Celtic knots encircle the Parian chinaware, representing eternity and the relationship of all things in the universe.
Named after the Greek island of Paros, Parian china is known for its resemblance to the white marble found in the Aegean Sea and its ability to create a sculptural quality out of liquid minerals.
Known for their exquisite designs and Parian porcelain, Belleek is Ireland’s oldest fine china pottery.
Set of 2. Each holds approximately 20oz.
