Whether at home or at work, you can honor the Emerald Isle by displaying this Irish Flag on a Stick!
This flag is a replica of the national flag of the Republic of Ireland, complete with the three vertical stripes of Kelly green, white, and orange.
Also known as the Irish tricolor, the Irish flag was proudly flown for the very first time on March 7, 1848 in Waterford City by Thomas Francis Meagher during the Young Irelander Rebellion of 1848. The flag was actually a gift to Meagher from a group of French women supportive of the Irish efforts and symbolized hope for unity between Protestants and Roman Catholics.
The green stripe at the hoist represents the Roman Catholics, the orange stripe at the opposite end symbolizes the Protestant minority, and the white stripe in the middle signifies the lasting peace between the green and orange.
Fitted on a wooden pole for easy display, this flag is perfect for showing off on anything from a desk to a wall!
